Q. Why does Barry not “just connect” to anyone on Linkedin? Too many people are taught the wrong way to leverage LinkedIn. Never “just connect.” Curate and invest in your connected peers and serve all those who follow your work. Remember ….
I specifically focus my peer relationships with people I’ve worked with over time, peers in the cybersecurity community, and colleagues who have been expanding, building, and architecting the Internet.
People who are trying to pitch, market, and “expand their connections” are welcomed and encouraged to follow on LinkedIn. Check out these articles if you would like to learn more about my LinkedIn methodology”: Effective Linkedin Connections – Building Your Network, Building and Investing in a Community of “Contacts,” and Principles to Invest in Linkedin for an Effective Impact. They are helpful to anyone aspiring to build their LinkedIn community. The approach takes longer, but the connection quality and relationships are more robust.
